DeKalb County Community Gardens is launching its Grow-mobile program in June.
The DCCG Grow-mobile is a refrigerated produce truck that serves as a pop-up food pantry and education center. The Grow-mobile program is designed to provide fresh produce and other healthy food, as well as food education programs to individuals who experience food insecurity in DeKalb County.
Here is the Grow-mobile's schedule:
June 28 from 9 am – 12 pm at Belle and Herbie’s, 16 W. Benson Ave, Cortland
July 5 from 10 am – 1 pm at Somonauk Baptist Church, 315 E. North St, Somonauk
July 12 from 10 am – 1 pm at Lion’s Park, S. Birch St, Waterman
July 19 from 3-6 pm on the lawn next to the Kingston Library, 126 S. Main St, Kingston
July 26 from 10- 1 pm at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 324 W. McKinley Ave, Hinckley
August 3 from 9 am – 12 pm at the DeKalb County Health Department Healthy Start to School, 2550 N. Annie Glidden Rd, DeKalb
August 9 from 10 am to 1 pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 340 W. Arnold St, Sandwich
